Baseball Recap: Canon City Takes a Loss

If Canon City was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Coronado on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Rampart Rams on Saturday, falling 15-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 12, 2024.

Canon City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Bell, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Eric Chavez, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Canon City's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Rampart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Canon City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rampart, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 12th.
