Football Game Preview: Arroyo Grande Eagles vs. Tulare Union Tribe + Official Tickets

The Arroyo Grande Eagles will head out to challenge the Tulare Union Tribe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arroyo Grande is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Arroyo Grande is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 42-29 win over Garces Memorial. The Eagles pushed the score to 35-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arroyo Grande to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zack Tayman, who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Tayman has posted since back in September. Miles Thompson helped out on the ground, rushing for 146 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tulare Union humbled Kingsburg with a 56-21 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tribe, who have now won seven contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Tulare Union's win came from a few key players Arroyo Grande will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Crisp, who threw for 262 yards and four TDs while completing 85% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Tulare Union's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Demaje Riley was Crisp's top target, picking up 167 receiving yards and one score.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Tulare Union, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brayden Stevenson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Arroyo Grande's record now sits at 8-4. As for Tulare Union, their record is now 9-2.
