Recap: Douglas County West Falcon vs. Louisville Lions
The Douglas County West Falcon posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Louisville 60-24 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-9.
It was another big night for Grace Holm, who scored 22 points. Olivia Malousek was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Douglas County West and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Louisville, their defeat was their 14th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas County West will face off against Yutan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yutan is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to take on Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Arlington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Louisville in Nebraska (Arlington is ranked 40th, while Louisville is ranked 234th).
