Volleyball Game Preview: Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars vs. Bunnell Bulldogs

The Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Bunnell Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kolbe-Cathedral is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kolbe-Cathedral took on Masuk on Friday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Panthers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Bunnell didn't have quite enough to beat New Milford on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Bunnell lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 20-25, 15-13.

Kolbe-Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Bunnell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Kolbe-Cathedral came up short against Bunnell in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
