Baseball Recap: Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Black River Falls Tigers as they made off with a 10-4 win. The Red Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Calvin Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nathan Holthaus, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Sam De Jager was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Black River Falls, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10-1 record this season.
