Baseball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Jacksonville Christian Academy's win against Anniston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder skirted past the Bulldogs 18-17. The victory was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on four straight.

Jessie Gannaway was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Nick Brodeur was another key player, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Jacksonville Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's record is now 11-6. As for Anniston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Jacksonville Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Weaver at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anniston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
