Basketball Recap: Rensselaer Central Comes Up Short

Rensselaer Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-29 defeat at the hands of the Delphi Community Oracles. The Bombers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oracles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Delphi Community's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xaine Tessier, who went 6 of 7 en route to 13 points. Tessier continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Braydon Fosbrink also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebound of the season.

Rensselaer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Delphi Community, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Rensselaer Central will face off against Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Delphi Community, they will challenge Western Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
