Dynamic duo of ShaNya McLeod and Rakhiya Moody lead Greene County to victory

Recap: Greene County Wildcats vs. Long Beach Bearcats
The Greene County Wildcats's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They rang in the new year with a 47-39 victory over Long Beach. The win was just what Greene County needed coming off of a 58-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Leading Greene County to victory were ShaNya McLeod and Rakhiya Moody. McLeod scored 14 points along with three steals, while Moody scored 15 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which McLeod has scored at least 25% of Greene County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamiah Knight, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Greene County's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Long Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Greene County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bay at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Bay will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Long Beach will take on Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hancock will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
