North Sand Mountain entered their tilt with North Jackson on Friday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the North Jackson Chiefs 16-2. Considering the Bison have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Burgess looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Mikey Poss and Carson Harvey did most of the damage at the plate: Poss scored three runs while going 2-for-2, while Harvey scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Harvey a new career-high in runs. Jaxson Stiles was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

North Sand Mountain's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for North Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

As for North Jackson, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Section at 11:00 a.m. North Jackson has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
