Softball Recap: Lebanon Trail Drops Season-High Score on Memorial

Lebanon Trail barely beat Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Memorial Warriors a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Trail Blazers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Parker Rodgers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Kendall Dreary was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Amelia Suckey also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Lebanon Trail was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memorial only posted a batting average of .062.

Lebanon Trail now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Lebanon Trail has already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Liberty on the 4th. As for Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Centennial on the 4th.
