Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Swansboro's Tenth in Last 11 Outings + How To Watch

Swansboro won the last time they faced Havelock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates blew past the Rams 3-0.

Swansboro never let Havelock on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Maddie Staley, who had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.

Staley wasn't the only good servers: Swansboro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Swansboro is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Havelock, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.

Coincidentally, Swansboro and Havelock will both be playing Northside - Jacksonville the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Monarchs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
