Softball Recap: Cascade Bruins vs. Jackson Timberwolves
Cascade had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-18 to make it four. They fell just short of the Jackson Timberwolves by a score of 19-18. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in April.
Marisa Molina led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Cienna Cannon was another key player, going 3-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
As for Jackson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Jackson's side, they let Madi Jacquot and Aliana Langsea run wild. Jacquot fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and one double while going 3-for-5, while Langsea fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave Langsea a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Augustine, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two runs.
As of now, neither Cascade nor Jackson have any future games scheduled.
