Basketball Game Preview: South Range Raiders vs. West Branch Warriors

The South Range Raiders will take on the West Branch Warriors in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, South Range turned things around against Springfield on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 67-51 win over the Tigers. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Branch, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past Alliance with a 56-51 victory on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Aviators are ranked first).

South Range's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for West Branch, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

South Range skirted past West Branch 54-52 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
