Basketball Recap: King's Christian Starts Season with Win on the Road

King's Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 70-41 win over the Lindenwold Lions.

Owen Atkins had a dynamite game, putting up 28 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nate McCleary, who had 12 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's Christian will take on Cherry Hill East in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lindenwold, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Penns Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
