Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro fell victim to Batavia and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jeven Hochstuhl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Hillsboro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Batavia, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Batavia, they will head out on the road to square off against Clermont Northeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
