Volleyball Recap: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Lassiter Trojans

Sequoyah waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Lassiter Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Lassiter scored at least 16 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-16.

Sequoyah can attribute much of their success to Jordyn Mcrobert, who had 12 digs. Mcrobert is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Sequoyah has been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Lassiter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.

Sequoyah has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pope on the 9th. Lassiter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
