Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

The Heritage Academy Heroes didn't have quite enough to beat the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will face off against Veritas Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Heroes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they will square off against Phoenix Country Day at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Dust Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
