The Palmview Lobos will head out to take on the Mission Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmview knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Mission likes a good challenge.
Palmview gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Mission Veterans Memorial 12-6. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Yailyn Trevino was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She is also on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Eissa Flores also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Palmview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Mission's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Roma, falling 13-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since February 20th.
Breanna Longoria was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ilia Fiscal, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Palmview's win bumped their record up to 18-3-1. As for Mission, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palmview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .452. However, it's not like Mission struggles in that department as they've averaged .424. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Palmview came out on top in a nail-biter against Mission in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 11-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
