Klein's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Klein Collins 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bearkats have posted against the Tigers since April 16, 2021.

Madilyn Schultz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base. The home team had come away the winner the last four times Tomball and Magnolia West had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Tomball was the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Magnolia West on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Regina Amaya tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caitlyn Hamilton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hadlee Faulkner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Tomball was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in six consecutive games.

Tomball pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Klein, their record is now 14-7.

Klein suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Tomball when the teams last played back in February. Can Klein avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
