Volleyball Recap: Madilynn Bettencourt Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Modesto + How To Watch

Turlock won the last time they faced Modesto and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-18.

Turlock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madilynn Bettencourt led the charge by getting nine digs and six aces. Those nine digs gave Bettencourt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Mensonides, who had eight digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Turlock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Turlock pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Modesto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Turlock is set to challenge their familiar foe Gregori at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Modesto will square off against rival Pitman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
