Volleyball Game Preview: Purdue Polytechnic Techies vs. Providence Cristo Rey Wolves

The Purdue Polytechnic Techies will be taking part in a tournament against the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Purdue Polytechnic is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since August 26th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Herron. The defeat continues a trend for the Techies in their meetings with the Achaeans: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-9, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Providence Cristo Rey hadn't done well against Indiana Math & Science Academy North recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wolves blew past the Knights 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

One reason for the win was Providence Cristo Rey's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.

Providence Cristo Rey's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Purdue Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
