Basketball Recap: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Illiana Christian Vikings        
        
		
             It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but Tri-Township ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They managed  a  52-48 victory over the Illiana Christian Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played  back in November of 2023.
 Leading Tri-Township to victory were  Jayde Pryor and  Addison Hendrixson.  Pryor  posted 17 points in addition to seven  rebounds and five  steals, while  Hendrixson  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 13  rebounds. What's more,  Pryor also posted a 14%  three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's  posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Emma Armentia, who  had four points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals.
 Illiana Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Keilah Mudde, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and nine  rebounds.  Ella Olthof was another key player,  posting five points along with 12  rebounds and two  blocks.
 The  win made it two in a row for Tri-Township and  bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Illiana Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Tri-Township will be playing in front of their home fans against Frontier  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Illiana Christian, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Griffith at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
