Basketball Recap: Tanner Gentry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dayton over De La Salle North Catholic

Dayton lost against De La Salle North Catholic back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dayton Pirates received a blow as they fell 68-52 to the De La Salle North Catholic Knights.

Dayton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Gentry, who went 5 of 7 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Lane Garrison, who posted two points along with eight assists and six boards.

Dayton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-46 victory against Douglas on the 14th. De La Salle North Catholic has also already played their next game, a 54-40 loss against Pleasant Hill on the 14th.
