Quartz Hill is 8-0-2 against Lancaster since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Quartz Hill Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Lancaster Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Quartz Hill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Wednesday, Quartz Hill came up short against Palmdale and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Falcons are ranked 180th).

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastside.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-2. As for Quartz Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2.

Quartz Hill beat Lancaster 4-2 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quartz Hill since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
