Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Takes a Loss

Lakewood Park Christian lost against Lakeland back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Lakers. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lakers 25-18 in the first set.

Lakewood Park Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17.

Emilia Crider paced Lakewood Park Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Crider got some help from Evie Gravante and her 35 assists. Crider was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lakeland can attribute much of their success to RYLEE AMSDEN, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Lakewood Park Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. As for Lakeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Lakewood Park Christian will challenge Bethany Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fairfield on the 11th.
