Central York came out on top against Penn Manor on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Comets. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 win the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Luke Burch, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Whitcomb, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Central York and bumps their season record up to 5-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Penn Manor, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central York will challenge Red Land at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Penn Manor, they will take on Cedar Crest at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
