Baseball Recap: Jerome Takes a Loss

Jerome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to the Kimberly Bulldogs.

Brett Harrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Xaiden Van Tassell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Jerome's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Kimberly, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jerome will host Shelley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Russets at the right time seeing as the Russets are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Kimberly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gooding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
