It's playoff time, and Bloom-Carroll had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Shawnee Indians 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-99) Bloom-Carroll actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10.

Kylynne Sollberger went supernova, getting 21 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Shawnee's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chelsea Burkholder, who had 39 assists and 13 digs. Burkholder has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 20 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sami Rettig, who had 29 digs.

Bloom-Carroll's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Shawnee, their defeat ended a 13-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6.

Bloom-Carroll has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Jonathan Alder on the 1st. Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
