Soccer Recap: Atwater Finishes Even with El Capitan

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Atwater was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and the El Capitan Gauchos finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The Falcons had to tread lightly for part of the match as Carmine Ferrario and Julian Zaragoza were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Atwater's goal came courtesy of Zaragoza, who's now up to ten this season.

Atwater's draw gives them a new season record of 5-4-3. Meanwhile, El Capitan's record is now 4-3-4.

Atwater will square off against Los Banos at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Atwater is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for El Capitan, they will be playing at home against Buhach Colony at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. El Capitan's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
