Basketball Recap: Ridgewood Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Ridgewood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over the Elmwood Park Tigers. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 35-30 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Ridgewood's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Elmwood Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Ridgewood will take on Bremen in a holiday battle at at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Ridgewood is facing Bremen at the right time seeing as Bremen is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Elmwood Park and Streamwood will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
