Basketball Recap: Lakeville Comes Up Short

Lakeville lost against Webberville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakeville Falcons took a hard 56-42 fall against the Webberville Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while the Spartans are ranked 291st).

Lakeville dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Webberville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeville will challenge Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Webberville, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Patrick at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Patrick knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Webberville likes a good challenge.
