Softball Game Preview: Ludlowe Falcons vs. Trumbull Eagles

The Ludlowe Falcons will face off against the Trumbull Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.

Wilton hit Ludlowe with a four-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexa Mills was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Trumbull never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past Ridgefield 12-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Trumbull has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ludlowe, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
