Lake Norman had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the West Cabarrus Wolverines with a sharp 20-4 win. That looming 20-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.
Alexa Boone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.
