Basketball Recap: Cross Piles Up the Points Against Timberland

Cross won the last time they faced Timberland and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cross Trojans blew past the Timberland Wolves 64-31. The matchup marked the Trojans' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Cross' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Ramsey, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and eight steals. With that strong performance, Ramsey is now averaging an impressive 2.6 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Flute, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Cross smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Cross' victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Timberland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross will head out to face off against Palmetto Scholars Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Timberland, they and Burke will meet in a canine-themed contest at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
