Softball Game Preview: Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers vs. Capitan Tigers

For the second straight game, Mesilla Valley Christian School will face off against Capitan. The SonBlazers will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Mesilla Valley Christian School made easy work of Capitan and carried off a 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the SonBlazers, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Maren Fiske spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Stailey Faust was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Briley Eaton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Mesilla Valley Christian School and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Capitan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
