Valley View posted their closest victory since April 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Paragould Rams. The Blazers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ashlyn Beale spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Avery Ellis was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Dawson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Valley View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 11-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Paragould, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Paragould beat Valley View by a score of 7-6 later that day.
