St. Patrick-St. Vincent won the last time they faced De Anza and things went their way on Friday too. The Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-19 victory over the Dons.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Santos led the charge by rushing for 108 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Santos got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 63 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Baron Laxa, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for De Anza, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent and De Anza will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bruins see the field they'll take on Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on October 11. As for De Anza, their break will end when they face Pinole Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
