Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 49-34 fall against the Southeast Lancers. That's two games in a row now that the Blu-Jays have lost by exactly 15 points.

Southeast found their leader in sophomore Tyler Warner, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Warner. Garrett Burger also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Southeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Pleasanton has already played their next game, a 58-32 defeat against Osawatomie on the 21st. As for Southeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-50 victory against Baxter Springs on the 20th.
