Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Victorious

Notre Dame hadn't done well against Charleston recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Notre Dame Bulldogs walked away with a 39-26 win over the Charleston Bluejays. The 39-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Charleston's loss came despite strong showings from Trenez Lane and Treshaun Schandon. Lane posted nine points, while Schandon put up ten points and five rebounds.

The victory got Notre Dame back to even at 4-4. As for Charleston, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Notre Dame will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Charleston, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Charleston Bluejays take on the Kelly Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Charleston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.6 points per game this season.
