Cedarcrest lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Newport - Bellevue, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Red Wolves were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the Knights on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Red Wolves, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Josie Fiala was incredible, going 5-for-6 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Celeste Lyons was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Cedarcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport - Bellevue only posted an OBP of .395.

Cedarcrest's victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1. As for Newport - Bellevue, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cedarcrest will head out on the road to square off against Everett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newport - Bellevue, they will host Eastside Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
