Basketball Recap: Martins Mill Find Success

It's playoff time, and Martins Mill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 53-44 win over the Grapeland Sandies on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Sandies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Archer Schneider, who went 9-for-11 to rack up 24 points and eight rebounds. What's more, he also posted an 82% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jak Kinder, who posted eight points and six boards.

Martins Mill's record is now 34-1. As for Grapeland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 24-5 record.

Coming up, Martins Mill will face off against Goldthwaite at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goldthwaite will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Martins Mill surely won't give up without a fight. Grapeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
