Clinton has gone 8-2 against Lakewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Dark Horses will welcome the Leopards at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clinton has three straight wins, Lakewood has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Clinton was able to grind out a solid victory over South Lenoir, taking the game 3-1.

Clinton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-28, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Lakewood came up short against East Columbus on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Everything went Clinton's way against Lakewood in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, as Clinton made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Dark Horses repeat their success, or do the Leopards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
