Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stoughton). Everything went their way against the Baraboo Thunderbirds on Friday as the Stoughton Vikings made off with a 70-46 victory. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stoughton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Baraboo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stoughton will finish 2024 at home by hosting Kettle Moraine at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Baraboo, they will welcome Lodi at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
