Recap: Panhandle Panthers vs. Bovina Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Panhandle Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Bovina 69-38 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-13.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miguel Lopez, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Yandel Deleon was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Panhandle now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Bovina, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Panhandle will be playing at home against Farwell at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Farwell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Bovina, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Park at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
