Volleyball Game Preview: Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers vs. Harding Presidents

The Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers are taking a road trip to challenge the Harding Presidents at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bridgeport Central will be strutting in after a win while Harding will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Bridgeport Central had just enough and edged out Ludlowe 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hilltoppers.

Bridgeport Central took Ludlowe into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, 18-25, 19-17.

Meanwhile, Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bunnell.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 27-29, 25-15.

Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bridgeport Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Bridgeport Central took their win against Harding when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
