Basketball Recap: Enterprise Drops Season-High Score on Foothill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Enterprise). They walked away with a 76-65 win over the Foothill Cougars on Tuesday. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 52-36 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Enterprise was led to victory by Carly Graham and Tianna Lowe. Graham went 6 for 8 en route to 22 points and three steals, while Lowe went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Lowe a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Keyona Dotson, who posted seven points along with ten assists and six rebounds.

Enterprise was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Foothill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kalli Smith, who went 8 of 14 en route to 22 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, and Mj O'Rorke, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackie Cogle, who earned eight points.

Enterprise's record is now 9-11. As for Foothill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Enterprise and Foothill could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Enterprise will square off against Chico at 6:30 p.m. on Friday down 251 places (349 vs. 98). Similarly, Foothill (ranked 262nd) will meet Pleasant Valley (ranked 25th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
