Greater Atlanta Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 42-29 victory over the Chestatee War Eagles. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the War Eagles are ranked 266th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Greater Atlanta Christian to victory were Pierce Wilson and Michael Miller. Wilson gained 132 total yards and three touchdowns, while Miller threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Hughes, who picked up 87 receiving yards and one score.

Greater Atlanta Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Wilson and Gabe Janczak.

Chestatee's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Benjamin Plemons, who rushed for 97 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Brody Burke, who rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Greater Atlanta Christian's record now sits at 8-2. As for Chestatee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Greater Atlanta Christian nor Chestatee have any future games scheduled.
