The Nova Titans will head out on the road to take on the Flanagan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Nova turned things around against Blanche Ely on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 20-0 shutout. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dasia Davis made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Nova got a massive performance out of Aniya Williams, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jada Corbin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Nova always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Flanagan got the win against Coral Springs on Thursday by a conclusive 18-4. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups by 14 runs or more so far this season.
Like Nova, Flanagan also got a great game from a two-way player: Jurnee Bent. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Bent was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Jade Reeves was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Andrade, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Nova's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Flanagan, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Nova couldn't quite finish off Flanagan in their previous matchup back in February and fell 14-12. Can Nova avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
