Baseball Recap: Seventy-First Takes a Loss

Seventy-First was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Village Christian Academy Knights.

Seventy-First saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cory Bush, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Seventy-First's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Village Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Seventy-First will head out on the road to square off against Purnell Swett at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Village Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
