Softball Recap: Avondale Comes Up Short

Avondale lost to Troy on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets lost 18-3 to the Colts. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avondale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison May, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Elizabeth Easton also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Avondale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Troy, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Avondale will take on rival Southfield Arts & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Troy is set to face off against their familiar foe Ferndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
